222 Mile Walk from AFSP Headquarters in NYC to Quincy–Sean Michael Butler, a friend of Co-Chair walked from AFSP headquarters in honor of his Dad who he lost to suicide 20 years ago. Sean completed his walk on Christmas Night. He was featured in the Patriot Ledger and he and Paul Gabriele were interviewed by Channel 5 which aired the segment for two days.
Mental Health Awareness Forum in Duxbury & Middleboro—Plymouth Coalition participated with local State Representatives in an open forum on Mental Health and Suicide Prevention along with Alan Holmlund, as well as the Youth Connection from South Shore Hospital.
Paul Gabriele given a State Citation from State Representative Jim Cantwell for all his support and work he has done in our communities.
Hosted Samaritans – You Are Not Alone Film at Scituate Theater Along with Boston Samaritans and State Representative Jim Cantwell and others hosted the viewing of the film “You Are Not Alone”
In November of 2015, one our Coalition Members was awarded a Grant from Joyal Capital of Plymouth, an organization which grants wishes to children who are impacted by tragedy or hardship. This grant was shared with the Plymouth Coalition and gifted to children who were also effected by suicide for a day of carefree shopping. Because of this grant, our Coalition was able to grant 14 children with a $100 shopping spree
Contracted with Baseball fields in Plymouth and Marshfield to sponsor them with Mass Men Banners on a total of 5 fields between the two towns.
