Welcome to the Massachusetts Coalition for Suicide Prevention (MCSP) website. We hope that our newly-designed site will provide you with current data, information, and services related to the prevention of suicide and suicide-related behaviors across the lifespan. We will consistently strive to keep our site as up-to-date as possible. However, if you notice erroneous or outdated information or material, please let us know! We are always open to your suggestions CLICK HERE.
The mission of the MCSP is to prevent suicide through state-wide collaboration and advocacy. Accordingly, we are truly a community based group comprised of suicide prevention advocates. Our membership includes public and private agency representatives, non-profit organizations, policy makers, survivors of suicide loss, attempt survivors, mental health clinicians and other health care providers, law enforcement, mental health and public health consumers, and concerned citizens committed to working together to reduce the incidence of self-harm and suicide in Massachusetts.
MCSP encourages your involvement. We firmly believe that suicide prevention and postvention activities, and educating the public require collaboration. Please consider joining the MCSP CLICK HERE or join us at our next General Member Meeting CLICK HERE.
If you or a loved one is feeling helpless or suicidal please call 1-800-273-talk (8255). The National Suicide Prevention Hotline is a free, 24-hour hotline available to anyone in suicidal crisis of emotional distress.
