News and Events

MCSP General Membership Meetings are held five (5) times annually, the 2nd Monday of every other month.  Our next meeting  will be held on March 12, 2012 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.   The General Membership Meetings take place at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, which is located at 93 Worcester Road in Wellesley, MA.

There are three MCSP sponsored or co-sponsored events held annually: the Annual State House Event  which is taking place at 9:00 to noon on February 6, 2012 in the Great Hall of the State House, the Kickoff Luncheon (September) and the Annual Statewide Suicide Prevention Conference (May).

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS

Below is the tentative schedule for 2012 General Membership meetings (subject to change).  All meetings are held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and are held at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, 93 Worcester Road in Wellesley (unless otherwise indicated).

March 12 (meeting place to be determined); June 11;  and November 12

ANNUAL STATE CONFERENCE – May 1 and 2, 2012 at the Best Western Hotel in Marlborough, MA

KICK OFF LUNCHEON – September 20, 2012 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm – place to be determined

 

The 13th Annual State House Event was held on February 6, 2012 in the Great Hall at the State House.  Our Leadership in Suicide Prevention honorees and presenters this year were:

  • Rrepresentative Jeffrey Sanchez -  award presented by Representative Denise Garlick
  • Robert Judge – award presented by Representative John Scibak
  • Annemarie Matulis – award presented by Representative Shaunna O’Connell
  • S.A.V.E. – Statewide Advocacy for Veterans’ Empowerment – award accepted by Secretary Coleman Nee and presented by Senator Stephen Brewer
  • Maura Weir – award presented by Senate President Therese Murray
